Formerly known as Anakin Skywalker he is, apparently, the actual main and tragic character of the Star Wars saga. The father of Luke Skywalker and a Jedi, he fought in the Clone Wars alongside his master Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, his arrogance and impatience eventually ended his promising Jedi career. With the death of his mother and his vision of his wife's, Padme Amidala, death he was on the path to the dark side. In a clash between the Jedi and Chancellor Palpatine, he chose Palpatine and helped kill Jedi Master Mace Windu. Anakin succeeded Count Dooku (Darth Tyrannus) as now-Emperor Palpatine's apprentice, Darth Vader.
